ABSTRACT
H.P. Lovecraft (acronym for Howard Phillips Lovecraft, August 20, 1890 – March 15, 1937), was an American author who became famous after death for his influential works of horror fiction. He was almost unknown during his life and his works were published only in pulp magazines (inexpensive fiction magazines that were published from 1896 to the 1950s). He died in poverty, but he is now considered as one of the most significant 20th-century authors in his genre. His most famous works are The Cthulhu Mythos.
