Abstract:

The United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland is the full name of this country. It lies in the western part of Europe between the Atlantic Ocean and the North Sea. The first people who settled this area were Celts. Since then, it is going through a long and rich history. The flag of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland, commonly known as the Union Jack or Union Flag,is the national flag of the United Kingdom. London is the capital  the most popular city of England, Great Britain, and the United Kingdom.The most famous British landmarks are Buckingham palace,Palace of Westminster,Big Ben, London Eye, Trafalgar Square…The British are very interesting people. They are famous for their politeness, self-discipline and especially for their sense of humour.Education is important in British life. There are hundreds of schools, colleges and universities, including some of the most famous in the world.The most common and typical meals are sandwiches, fish and chips,pies… Tea is a traditional drink in UK.

Abstrakt:

Ujedinjeno Kraljevstvo Velike Britanije i Severne Irske je pun naziv za ovu zemlju. Nalazi se u zapadnom delu Europe između Atlantskog oceana i Severnog mora. Prvi koji su naselili ovo područje bili su Kelti. Od tada, ono prolazi kroz dugu i bogatu istoriju. Zastava Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva Velike Britanije i Severne Irske, poznata kao "Union Jack" ili “Union Flag”, je nacionalna zastava Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva. London je glavni i najpopularniji grad Engleske, Velike Britanije i Ujedinjenog Kraljevstva. Najpoznatije britanske znamenitosti su Bakingemska palata, Vestminsterska palata, Big Ben, Londonsko oko…  Britanci su vrlo zanimljivi ljudi. Oni su poznati po svojoj ljubaznosti, samodisciplini, a posebno po humoru. Obrazovanje je važno u britanskom životu. Postoje stotine škola, fakulteta i univerziteta, uključujući i neke od najpoznatijih u svetu. Najčeša i tipična jela su sendviči, pite… Čaj je tradicionalni napitak u Velikoj Britaniji.
